Governments all across the globe are contributing millions and millions of dollars in funding to further understand and develop CCS. I suppose they see a pressing need for it in the future. I imagine this is because they don't really want to see us all literally running around in our birthday suits like a bunch of Neanderthals. They know that without gas we won't have clothes or any of the other products that we find so necessary for our day to day lives.

And, I don't think BPH has to worry about their rig becoming a stranded asset. There's a timeline of approx 20-25 years before the market weakens, however the expectation is that there will still be a much longer-term requirement for gas to mix with hydrogen in any case.
