Seems like it's more profitable for a company to market a business to shareholders than to actually go in and invest in a platform that attracts their target market.
Go on google. Every article about Emerge is stock price discussion. For all their big manning, what have they accomplished in gaming? Miggster which is a vehicle for Crowd1 to move money through bundled subscriptions?
How can you not watch this play out and be fascinated by it? It's so audacious and cult-like.
