Yes, as I've always mentioned with each of my posts about shipping, I think the Arcadia is a bit soon too BUTTT it's a bulker that does the routes we'll be using - so watching it anyway can help answer a lot of our questions about timing, loading etc.

I know you've always understood this too, so the bold is not for you...

It's for the busy folks who only seem to glance quickly over these posts and consequently often leap to the wrong conclusions, so I'm just clarifying that again here in bold to help alleviate any accidental misconceptions.

And it was certainly a bit worrying to see the Arcadia go missing off radar for a few days, then arrive late. Who knew that was a normal thing between Tassie & Indonesia in this day and age? Not me, at least.

Thanks to your last post, it was also very interesting to see how the Burnie Port Authority managed to squeeze her into the schedule by making her wait offshore, (even though I think she'd already done her quarrantine at sea).

I understand why the shipping apps try to avoid mentioning their cargos, but this lady is off to Townsville next, via relatively safe waters, leaving tonight at 21:30... it will be interesting to see how fast she travels.

And the Ipswich Bay - also in port at nearby Berth 6, and not leaving for another few days. She's off to a steel-maker's port next, so even if she's not ours, she'll be even more interesting to watch how long she takes to load, depart, travel & by which route etc.

Certainly my kids are really enjoying this whole learning process - so we (all us here under this roof in the dry outback) greatly appreciate your updates with photos.
