In my opinion any Big 4 bank (or bank really) that is doing a pilot has conducted their due diligence and the pilot is just a formality I would think they are just making sure the integration and payment gateways work for them.

They have proof of concept evident by their sole agreement with Bendigo - Adelaide Bank and also agreements with financial institutions like Money 3 and Society one. They have demonstrated it works across a broad range of industries and as Brenton said in a webinar "it is not a wind up of the industry he believes they can take the industry in their own right".
