Not going to lie this product is underwhelming and VERY niche. Bit comparing QUAL to FPAY is a little dismissive of why people would use FPAY.
I agree index funds are great tools but the offer no "personalisation". The people who would want to use FPAY are people who want regular income of around 4% a year and can set and forget it (I know during super bad periods FPAY may not pay) while being indexed to inflation.
QUAL has a yield of 1% so now the layman needs to sell part of the capital to fund his lifestyle in bad years (you have to eat) drawing down on capital.
so I know it's splitting hairs but this product is not aimed at the same people.
With napkin maths I calculated that FPAY's protection side trust can last around 5 years before depleting which would be quite an extended period of downturn.
Definitely agree with you the difference in costs and all other points.
