As at the last annual report the top 20 shareholders held 66.08% of issued shares. If the directors are incapable of raising $50 mil. at the discounted price by making 20 phone calls and saving shareholders $2.5m, their custodial role should be questioned.
Sadly, it has been my experience that too many directors would rather pass the buck to others to do the real work than roll their sleeves up and assist in running the business. This attitude is encouraged by shareholder complacency.
