There is an interesting article on Oil Price.com, yesterday?, regarding how Freeport Macran was the only major copper miner who was in a position to take advantage of the huge copper price run.
All the other majors had one trouble or another.
It goes to show, that even the most financially lubricated miners are in a world of physical difficulty.
SBM troubles in PNG are part of this big picture.
