butcherboy, you debase my comments on the basis of your acceptance of Fact 3. I don't understand your logic.
The predicted increase in temperature of 2 degrees if CO2 levels go to 450ppm amuses me. You admit it's the maximum increase anyone has predicted. Yet many AGW proponents disagree this is the case. They say the rise will be much less. Furthermore, as far as I know no one has explained why the global temperatures have declined over the past 5-9 years despite the increase in CO2.
I think we all agree this debate can continue for a long time here. So, there's no point in clouding it with spin. I as a scientist with a PhD in Physics who has read hundreds of papers on this subject would like to stick to the facts. AGW may well be true but at the moment it's unclear. Leave the spin to the politicians, or go to the Politics forum.
