What I used to do when manipulation was obvious was look at this website: www.goldnerds.com.au It claims, or did when I was holding several gold stocks, list every gold stock on the ASX. Some are what I call Federal Reserve proof. i.e. they can rise while the gold price is being manipulated down.
Basically I stayed with them and sold the others. There is a page where you can see all the different company's websites on it.
It works better for the smaller gold companies because the big producers usually follow the gold price.

For a rough but quick look at what company you hold or intend to buy, you can use www.bigcharts.com. Type in AU:XYZ
