    Since 1979 China had a one child policy (now defunct) which has skewed the demographics of China in such a way that it will affect the country in many ways in the next 50 years,

    Having been allowed only one child - many families opted to ensure that child was a male. Hence we now have an imbalance of males vs females in that important 25-35 age bracket. Many of the males will remain bachelors and more prone to going off on tangents and more likely to get involved in protests without the little lady of the house pulling them into line


    and this is just the start of their demographic problems
