Anyone know how much planning goes into one of these take overs deals?

I my world, there are about 2 levels of 200+ people working on future tenders, purchases and quotes. It wouldn't be much different here correct, except for less people? It would take months to arrange and organise a TO deal I suspect, correct?

So I think either there is nothing on the table (no deal yet). Or news came through internally around December (price jump from 5c to 25c) and we might find out from now until the end of year. (and price should keep going up steadily if it is true)
