this is just my speculative opinion, but an above poster stated that BHP maybe discredited by association with RIO from their proposed joint venture.
Well then reading between the lines, could this have been the chinese governments intention then??? If they discredit RIO, then maybe BHP wont wont to continue with the joint venture.
