I know we all know this but its nice to get a mention in PNN.
Over in Wyoming, Elk Petroleum said it would complete the Grieve-39A well at the Grieve field as a potential injection/production well once wireline logs were complete.
The company said the well was drilled to a total depth of 6821ft and recovered core from the Muddy A and B reservoirs.
Grieve-39A was drilled to obtain fresh core material from the Muddy sandstone reservoirs to allow independent reserve verification, final facilities design and updated economies leading to a final investment decision for a chemical flood-enhanced oil recovery project in the Grieve field.
The well is located next to the existing Grieve-39 well, which produced small amounts of oil in 2005 with initial flow coming from the Muddy sandstone reservoir.
