It is planned that the industrial activity in Darwin Harbour will increase.
This is inevitable. It does not matter if TNG develops on Middle Arm or not.
Water pollutants will increase even if :
The amount is miniscule.
The events are infrequent.
The weather/tides are unfavourable.

Whatever . . .
A commercial harbour is never a sensible place to have a spat (fishery, that is) !

Any contaminant . . . (biological or otherwise) from
Any ship . . . . . . . . . . can easily cross the harbour overnight
At any time . . . . . . . . wiping out production for years.
NB: Red Tide conditions are favoured by warm, stagnant and nutrient rich water.
