The Bulletin masthead was removed by Donald Horne when he became editor in 1961. That is a fact. I don't know how old you are but the removal of that masthead was certainly done in the lifetime of many, if not most of the people on this forum. I am not sure what you are trying to imply by your reference to "context".
Don't worry, having lived in many different parts of the world, I know what discrimination is and have even experienced myself. But that is by the by...
There is no need for you to become excessively patriotic or defensive when these things are mentioned, just accept them as a fact. And in closing, here's a bit of advice for you. When you next hold Australia up for comparison to another country, please choose the best of all examples and not the worst.
