Data on earthquakes in Greenland from the internatinal and Canadian seismiological bulletins have been checked against the seismograms of the seismological stations in Greenland. A few new earthquakes have also been located based on seismograms from Greenland and Canada. A total of 103 reliable earthquakes have been confirmed, located and relocated. If you doubt there would be any cause for concern for the authorities in Greenland when it comes to seismic activity and the concern over structure of the sea wall/mine. Thats why I believe seismic reports have been requested by the authorities for tailing dams in other EIA applications in the vicinity too. They certainly must feel it necessary if so and in so why wouldnt they have the same concern here as well?.
End of the day the sea wall has been submerged for 30 years and the pits filling up somehow so sea water may be present. The mine pit will need to be pumped and then Id assume the water treated. The fracturing of the wall can be inspected prior to sale if thats the intention. Better to be safe there. However pumping out the water would surely need to be cleared by the authorities. Both of these concerns can be undertaken prior to purchase. I would hope. Especially if as another poster stated. The site could have been purchased sight unseen over COVID. Not a big ask there really to be sure share holder funds are safely invested..
