part of the extensive U\G workings were a result of our russian friends i believe - in the great equal society where there was work for all it is understood some of those drives etc etc were done merely to keep the workers busy so it was not a direct indication of veins and shoots, in fact they drove a tunnel from the base of the open pit some how many kms to daylight downstream somewhere in the valley as a dewatering drive cannot remember howmany kms but no business would do such a thing - highly expensive exercise!!!
