Was listening to the radio couple of days ago. The insistence from the compares was to get the AstraZeneca jab. They gave the stats to prove it, “only” 2.7 people out of 100,000 have had complications with blood clots. I was thinking the odds weren’t that crash hot, I mean, if those were the odds for winning the lotto I would be buying tickets like a man possessed. But on the face of it, to take it myself or to insist my kids have it?, not the sort of odds I consider worth it. We are after all the mice in the trial. I believe there will be mounting evidence as time passes that serious repercussions result from this and I would hate to have my kids injected and live with that decision. I give an a example of my mother, heavily pregnant with me visiting the doctor for migraines, his suggestion was a new wonder drug, thalidomide (look up flipper babies). Thankfully she declined.
While I appreciate those that do want to take these vaccines, I appreciate the choice not to.
By the way, my whole family overseas got Covid, including my pregnant (not vaccinated) half sister, father (with pre existing lung issues) and they are all fine a week later. Strange but true.
If enough of you insist on taking it for the rest of us, herd immunity will suffice for us that don’t, so thanks for that.
