If you look back at their original Appalachian documentation you will see that wells are intended to be drilled on tight spacings with relatively low production rates. They're cheap wells and that's what makes it economic to drill lots, and it's the sum of many wells that makes the project attractive. But not at today's gas price which is very low. Fantastic project at better gas prices though, and hopefully they can maintain control of the acreage.
If the Marcellus Shale play extends into this area as hoped, it would be even better, and I believe this is yet to be tested.
Agree with earlier poster that NW Alice is the next useful event on the agenda pending gas prices improving, as Canning seems like it's going nowhere for a while.
