If you have been that involved you will know that the stumbling block in today's systems is the throughput of memory and now matter how much memory you chuck at a system it will not increase the throughput Processors have increased in speed dramatically but the issues are the embedded and discrete memory throughput is holding back the processors. The other issue is that huge amounts of software are poorly written and require large amounts of memory to support their operations. So if you can please tell me what software and hardware and type of work in the industry you have been involved? I can unequivocally without hesitation tell you that our ReRAM being 1000 times faster and 1000 times less power will make major differences to all equipment. The other problem with Flash Mem is that it uses more power as it tries to clear the data and buffers of the Data being chucked at it. This apart from slowing down it produces a lot more heat.
