Kicking at the ball during the grounding was a popular play some years ago and was, reasonably, outlawed so while I'm disappointed at the 8 point try I'm not bitchin.
But later a Blue used his knee to prevent a grounding and that was OK. Odd.
ps. I'm being asked for disclosure but there's no Maroon! option.
