Why would a drop in share price seem puzzling, O&GInvestor? The announcement was expected eventually. Short term trading 101 says buy on expectation, sell on announcement. Day traders work a bit differently. Buyers waiting for wildcat results work differently again. The range outcomes are not low probability, so a likely time frame range can be worked out by spec buyers. Seems normal market behaviour to me.
What would puzzle me if the next rise due to anticipation of next successful developmental stage did not display the same behaviour just at a sightly higher SP.
