good stuff yc. wasn't aware cellulosic biofuel was even off the drawing board.
cellulosic biofuels could be massive for ag, solves poltical drama re. food v fuel issues surrounding biofuels from starch.
if it proves successful and develops on a broader scale there are big implications for grain prices (i reckon it is bearish for grains) and fertiliser (would be bullish, particularly potash, crop residues remove heaps more K per t than grain).
problem may be with pricing, done the sums and at $50/t for residue i am not sure many farmers would get to excited.
