Part of my business runs at a loss as I build up market share and awareness of a particular patent filed product its part of both R&D and opening up a new market where there is latent demand
I sell that product at below cost , to get market penetration and feedback on how it performs from customers plus there are also deferred tax advantages and Govt incentives with that approach .

same is happening with Edencrete , they could build a large plant with low OPEX per unit but the initial high CAPEX would not warrant that , pretty standard 101 economics at play of proportioning variable costs and fixed costs .
Conclusion therefore is Build up market share then consider investing capital in a bigger plant with lower opex per unit .

EDE really needs to show a bit of initiative in their marketing however if they want to get bigger quicker progress has been very slow .
