The people here a simply wonderful. They will be and already are devastated by this.
I have had so many already coming to see me and ring me to tell me how upset they are and apologising when they have no need to.
They know this will have a negative affect on the country as a whole again and dislike the people doing this as much as we do.
It is a minority group of unthinking extremists, who actually believe this is furthering their ridiculous and pointless cause. They are fools to themselves and betraying their own kind doing so.
For now though we will be on alert just a little more for some time. The security is already tight but this will make it much tighter with long delays going to any of the places frequented by foreigners. I won't be going out for a while until this blows over, it will most likely bring out the small groups of extremists who will target us. Time for me to call on my "friends" when I do go out.
Really disappointing and hurtful for those affected both directly and indirectly. For the families involved devastating.
