    Marks, have to agree with you that land is not scarce. The only scarcity is grubs 'land banking' and of course all those planning and development controls making for a "scarce" resource.

    As for the chinese and the uighars what else do you expect from a culture that is trying to eradicate the other? This is no doubt similar to the nazis and various other groups down through the ages. I'm sure its whats happening in the middle east right now. Nothing new or revolutionary. Just a pity if you/your group are on the receiving end. If you don't have a bigger mate to stand up for you then by-by to your history.

    And as for cemeteries, at least around Paris, you only rent the plot for 10 years. You get to stay in peace if the family keeps paying. It's probably similar across Europe but I haven't researched or observed.
