I would never have heard of KAR if I had not been reading the blackswans posts on here. I think the forum is for the poorer without the 'ol swanny for he did have some good insight even if he did irritate some.
Anyway back in early 2005 both KAR and MIK were trading under 10 cents or there about.
Fast forward 4 years to 2009 and after the worst financial crisis in 50 years, KAR is trading at $10 and MIK still at 10 cents. Both stocks were swanny specials.
Swanny where the bloody hell are you? Sitting on a beach in Rio probably.... sigh
So what is the point of this drivel, well sometimes it does happen. KAR is a perfect example, can MIK do the same.
KAR is the golden goose and MIK is the ugly duckling but ugly ducklings can turn into beautiful swans (maybe even blackswans.. pun intended). So did swanny get the good mail on MIK after all but that mail just got blown of course for awhile but is now about to arrive?
Ok enough of that drivel. Now for some more drivel.
What it all boils down to is credibility. Does Mikoh have it? Well several months ago I had serious doubts, remember my groundhog day theory? Well I am now ready to declare groundhog day dead and buried. The cycle has been broken.
The appointment of Peter Tyree has convinced me of that. Although at first I was cynical but not any more. The reputation of Peter Tyree is impressive to say the least and I believe he is a man with the midas touch. I also strongly believe that he would not have taken on the role of Chairman if he had any doubts about the company.
For awhile I was undecided whether to ditch this company but now I shall stay to enjoy the ride. Hard to predict share price movements but I think we are getting close to a major share price re-rating. Why because we were told that the share price was fair value around 70 cents back in 2007, since then projects were delayed etc etc price collapsed to 4 cents as uncertainty hit but now we can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel. Latin America led by Mexico are clearly moving ahead now with the new EVR/AVI technology. Sirit has an excellent reputation and clearly a world leader and they have teamed up with MIK. The degree of certainty looks quite a bit better now.
But I am keen to see if MIK holds around current levels. Would be a good sign if it does.
