Georgia is an associate of NATO why wouldn't they be there ffs. That's what NATO is, a pact between nations. Losing the old Soviet bloc rankles Putin but it's not coming back no matter how hard he rattles his saber. He won't risk hitting a NATO warship, the return might be more than he's willing to bear.
