A straight line is the shortest distance between two points only on a flat surface.
I guess your comment that BrainChip has found the shortest route by following a straight line is true in your flat earth view of things where competition does not exist.
BrainChip's neuromorohic chip may or may not end up meeting customers needs and demands. At this point the jury is still out.
