Yes MGT gets compared to FMG quite a bit but I believe this is because they are an Aussie icon and the most recent, people can relate. They went from a small start up pipe dream into the $70B extremely successful giant they are today, all in less then 20yrs.
Also because no doubt we all hope that MGT can more
or less follow their trajectory, yes theyve had some rough patches but over all they’ve delivered amazingly for their SH.
If we can get over $20SP & $5/S in divi’s within 13 yrs of commencing production I’ll be a very happy holder.

Posted this on Fortescue a while back on another thread

The book goes on to say he paid $8m for his 47% stake in the company and 2 years later by Feb 2005 it was worth over $400m. He then sold around 3% of his shares for 13.5m which left him in cash profit of $5.5m

I think we would struggle to find a deal done that well over such a short period.
