Hello everybody
Whist I have been a Hot Copper member for several years, this is the first message that I have ever posted.
Usually I enjoy reading the various positive and negative opinions in regard to stocks that I hold, with the intention of becoming a more informed investor. That is until recently, when Mister Shmah began exposing us to his inflammatory points of view, with the express intention of provoking everybody. Some people, like the now silenced Pabs, had a tendency to be over exuberant. Some like the brick, are not just negative, but rudely so.
I've noticed there are a couple of dozen people who post regularly in regard to Talga and in general, you appear to be a group of like minded investors who have the capital to pursue different classes of investment, and I greatly appreciate your time and efforts.
Your words betray you Mister Shmah, clearly you are a stock market novice who is trying to portray himself as an experienced player, when in reality you are just another mine worker with a huge mortgage and hopefully, not a similarly sized wife, and by proudly proclaiming to still be on the tools, obviously haven't progressed to a supervisory position.
Your boast about selling a parcel at $1.45 had me rolling around with laughter, firstly because you probably bought in at $1.25 - $1.30 and because you obviously see yourself as a gun trader, sold out for a few hundred bucks profit, because lets face it, your wife would no doubt only let you invest a few grand at a time. Mind you, your slick trading move means that you'll pay full tax on that profit, whereas I can confidently assume that my colleagues take full advantage of the 50 % taxation discount for stocks sold after 12 months of ownership.
You see Mister S, those of us who are long time investors, in my case I bought my first TLG parcel in 2016, are sitting on a stock that owes us 30 to 50 cents each, how good is that, I bet you've never even had a 5 bagger in your life. And lets not forget the Covid induced market correction of Feb, March and April last year, where many of us topped up our portfolios at bargain prices, then of course my colleagues and I enjoyed the glorious run from 80 odd cents up to 2 bucks last September to November. Read it and weep, obviously you missed it or you wouldn't be so transfixed on the share price retreating to a dollar,. It'll be a pity when the impending DFS is released, we'll all be laughing at you selling out at $1.45
Your point about mining permits is entirely valid, but as is the case with all green field mines around the world, it is usually a staged process that moves from one level to another once the boxes are all ticked, a process that more often than not, takes a bit longer than management has anticipated. The big plus for TLG, is that the anticipated game changing paddock to plate supply chain opportunities, means that Sweden has given our project preferred investment and development status. You see Mister S, what differentiates you from an experienced investor, is patience.
Do us all favour and do a bit of homework before you continue mouthing off with the predictions of doom and gloom. A good place to start would be to go back and read every single announcement that TLG has made to the market during the last 2 or 3 years, this will help to give you a little more insight on where our company stands on its journey from a speculative investment company, to an actual miner and producer.
TLG holds so much promise on a number of fronts, we are in the box seat to be part of, and a major player in, the new age battery industry and the rapidly exploding electric motor vehicle industry. And lets not forget Graphene, this material has unlimited promise.
It's a pity that you have given us the impression that you won't be staying the course, because it's obvious that even if you still hold a few hundred shares, that you'll sell out as soon as the share price rises, and enhance your status a leaf blowing trading legend.
I don't expect to be posting again, so let me add my congrats to Gero for his one thousandth, thanks for posting details of the overnight action, I'm sure I'm not the only person to appreciates it. And thank you to all the regulars - keep the dream alive. PDP
