Geez guys, you can still pay electronically from a savings account for zero charge. TLS are simply passing on the cost with credit cards and also the cost of processing over the counter payments which is no different than the banks charging if you use a teller rather than the ATM. I too was disappointed that they intorduced a charge to pay by credit card, but guess that all those frequent flyer points need to be paid by someone - i.e. me! The real bandit in this space is Cabcharge slugging you 10% to use a credit card!!!!!!!!!!!! Have no doubt the ACCC will sort that one out.
