I understand where you are coming from. I can sort of understand why they would charge for over the counter payments.
Charging 1-2% for credit card payments however is exorbitant. Card payment processing fees are not that high.
The credit card companies (or banks) would also not be happy with Telstra charging extra for cc payments as it creates a disincentive to paying by cc...but I guess to hell with the CC companies.
My comments here do not reflect my views on TLS as an investment or trading stock. I am detaching TLS share price from this particular piece of suggested commercial practice and considering it solely from the context of a TLS consumer/customer.
