there are many differences here - and, that would not surprise me - I see some evidence there

but, the point is what the state does with it's debt

there's a huge philosophical difference between what France does and Oz does -- and, if I were to bet how things will look in 20 to 50 years

my guess is that France would be at shorter odds of looking ok

the entire planet is now in the early stages of the most massive social changes in history IMO --

the age of robotics and full automation is already starting ------ and, that is just not the same as anything that we've had before -

including the computer age ------ right back to the stone age and prior to it

it's why I say that the words that Fryberg spoke about worker numbers in comparison to > 65 year olds is just completely irrelevant

it's like they think that society will be the same in 2050 and 2060 that it is now -

it will be NOTHING like it at all - IMO - it will be unrecognisable

to prepare for that ---------- Oz really needs to sit down and think it through --

Europe isn't all that much better I don't think ---------- few have answers - and that's because the scale of change is going to be so great

however - there's basic things that we should expect - and just one of those very basic things would be the study of philosophy -

a classic education area that has stood the test of time - and, will be critically important for us in the future

in Europe - people study that - and, discuss it all the time -

in Oz - most Aussies don't even know what it is

we are setting ourselves up for a monster fail
