Well, maybe that’s overstating it. The announcement specifically calls out the usability as being a differentiator, which is the reason it can be used in doctors offices and pharmacies. So it’s not “just another covid test”.
I take it that it has been classed as a test of “moderate complexity”, which makes it eligible for a CLIA waiver (for home use). I think this is how it works, but I may be wrong. FF do we know for sure they are following up with a CLIA waiver submission.
