Oh I see what you mean by paper.

Yep real gold may be OK (yep: just OK, not spectaculat) for TEOTWAWKI but for anything else it is just a pain and you need big price movements to make money.

As I've said a little bit elsewhere: there are other things that are better than gold in the event of TEOTWAWKI (the end of the world as we know it) and many of them have been currency at some stage: grain, salt, sugar, knives, alcohol.

If anyone comes to me with some gold during the upcoming TEOTWAWKI event thinking that they'll get a good exchange rate between their currency of choice and my basket of currencies should think twice.

Don't get too carried away thinking that physical gold is either a great saviour in the event of TEOTWAWKI or a great way to invest.
