If anything brings the Govt down it will be this single issue.
imo most will forget -
the rorts because "every Govt does it" sentiment will allow the community to be complaisant
the fire mismanagement because he "doesn't hold a hose" will be like many others
the Hawaii holiday because everyone wants to go there too and it was "planned"
the short-changing of NDIS because it has been done very quietly
the over-promising and under-delivery (consistent issue across all portfolios) because one news item said there were fraudsters trying to get access to Gov money - my question is how did they define fraud and lets have clear examples of borderline cases
the very difficult access to Newstart/Jobsaver, drought assistance, fire assistance, little bits of money assistance in our present wave, JobKeeper corporate welfare that has much easier access, quicker payments, no "fraud", massive over-payment with no Robodebt and no obligation to pay back, because that's just what they do
Robodebt because many also think that every dole recipient is a bludger
NDIS and Aged Care funding claw backs because who doesn't want the budget in the black and its was 'only a rumour"
absurd legislation such as greater freedom for religious orgs to dispense with anti-discrimination laws because it didn't receive much media attention
the deliberate excision of most casuals because many don't give a damn
the removal of Newstart benefits for many thousands as the infection has spread because many think the dolies are all bludgers
the lies they've told about the budget because that's what is expected.
the War with China
so many things will be forgotten - unless Labs get a simple case together to indict the Libs in a manner that is legal and simple that many can understand.
The vaccine mismanagement has been a debacle from the beginning. The false promises of being "first in the queue" and claims of our future being secured - the result being an outbreak that has yet to be controlled and is damaging or at least disrupting personal lives and income.
