Hi
@Taxed
Ask anyone, I have been studying TA for years and am still making a pest of myself just about daily by asking questions, and am still discovering something new with every day and every chart. Thats the beauty of TA, it is huge and is forever changing, so you can never know it all, I actually love it and am striving to be proficient at it.
It takes a long time and many hours in front of the screen everyday for weeks and months.
Charting I reckon is an art, not a science, so everyone has different ideas but the very basics are the same. After watching the likes of mirren, sintrate, cabbie, tokakure and many others posting charts I managed to pick up a fair bit of TA. I could see not just the stock code but the structure of each individuals chart and how they displayed them and could draw from them and possibly incorporate them into my own. It takes a while but now I have my own style that I am comfortable with. Now I have the confidence to post charts knowing pretty much what I am talking about.
Apart from the screens, I did a lot of reading, have read 12 books 2-3 times each as it seems to sink in better with me when there is no noise or bright lights, just the quiet and the written word. Got more from books than I did from Youtube.
My biggest recent discovery to date is patience. It gets bloody boring watching screens all day and resisting the urge to jump in on a foolhardy trade, but it seems to be a big part of trading.
