Wikipedia seems to define maintance of a mine as the undertaking of certain duties. Seems like NAMA have been undertaking certain duties. Could be they can't say they are strictly maintaining the pit due to legislation by GoG and the status of the mine I.e the mine has to officially be closed, or can only be closed for a certain time, after that the mine can't be maintained since the mine closed. Not a lawyer so can only guess

so let's stop asking stupid questions constantly, do you have any references or resources saying what ever NAMA is doing can't be considered a form of maintance? Feel free to add to the discussion

Jeff needs an email or a phone call from NAMA, if not from NAMA lawyer stating "Yes Jeff we've been paid to maintain the Ivigtut pit till present day and here is our last audit record of services in 2021".
