I will respond to this but will then refrain further as I don’t want to sidetrack this excellent thread on MYR.
My point all along is that the available vaccines all have nearly 100% efficacy in preventing severe illness and once the population is vaccinated then lockdowns won’t be required nor will they politically advantageous. The past and current actions of state and federal politicians may affect the pace of vaccination and short term economic/medical outcomes but from an investment stance that’s just temporary noise and may bring buying opportunities (speaking as a long term holder not a trader).
If any shareholders want to pursue paranoid fantasies about being controlled by totalitarian governments or Bill Gates or whatever I will be happy to buy your shares at a discount.
By the way I am happy to be in WA rather than NSW at the moment. Our lockdowns seem to work.
