@sharehog Does the ASX question claims? They facilitate the timely, continuous disclosure of information however what powers they have as to questioning a company's data/forecasts/claims?
As far as I'm aware a company can announce whatever outlandish figures they wish and as long as it's announced to the market the ASX has its hands tied.
If a company were to issue misleading or false claims to the market this would most likely be ASIC's ballpark and/or a class legal action.
