AGY has been compared a few times to peer ORE.... or at least referenced in an aspirational way. I guess mostly because of their envious market cap..... however, have anyone on this forum seriously looked under the hood at the financials??
Casting my layman eyes over them it did not look at all pretty or at all justifying that MC.
So before I start digging, I would love it if someone else here had a look at it and have a take?
Some excerpts from quarterly
- Statutory consolidated group net loss of US$29.1 million for H1FY21 is down from a loss of US$18.9 million in the previous correspondingperiod(PCP).
- Total production of 6,079 tonnes of lithium carbonate,down 9% on pcp due to COVID-19 related operational restrictions and market demand.
- Average sales price received of US$3,492/tonne FOB2,down from US$6,157/tonne FOB2 in PCP
- US$12.2M debt interest payments for the quarter
AGY has nill debt currently afaik... nevermind paying ~US$48M per year interest.
First impressions are...
I hope AGY is nothing like ORE going forwards.
