As Dknow advised RE: this Shell announcement...

"Peter Voser, who takes over from Jeroen van der Veer as Chief Executive Officer on 1st July 2009 said: "This new structure will increase accountability in the company, and improve Shell’s performance on delivering new projects and developing new technologies."

"He continued: "These changes will increase our focus, accelerate our plans to reduce complexity, corporate overheads and costs, and result in faster decision-making and delivery."

The 90 day deadline was provided to enable Shell to reasonably complete their analysis after collating of all the previous findings with addition of the CSEM material. This does not necessarily mean that any announcement will be made at the deadline -- there would have been some contingency planning put into the timing.

If Peter Voser, as the New Man is going to show that he is truly ready to "plan to reduce complexity.....result in faster decision-making and delivery"...then I would expect him to "commit" by early August.

What if Shell delay an announcement until the "last moment?"

This might be for some extraneous or indirect purpose that we may never find out about.
