    the KGX hasn't really moved since April and has done 11.67% for the year

    The KGX is the price of gold measured not in USD but rather in terms of the same weighted basket of currencies as the USDI

    dunno what the SDR currency basket is?

    but I guess with gold in USD doing 3.2% ytd we are talking about all currencies being basket cases to some degree
