Have you guys seen the news? Not sure if they've made any announcements or statements about this

Watch from the 1 minute mark if you want to get straight to the point.
Apparently the project has been "stopped in its tracks" by locals. Due to there being a unique plant that only grows in this specific area/soil and the only place in the world to have this native plant.
"Environmentalists say this mine would destroy these species".
They went to court and on June 3rd they made a victory- this plant is now eligible to be an endangered species. Which, if confirmed, would effectively block the mine.
