My wife and I have both had the two doses of AZ. Others I know have had them too.
A bit fatigued after the first jab. Nothing after the second jab. I don't expect to be fully immune, but if the jab helps to minimise any symptoms I'll be happy.
I don't know what news you are referring to, but it's best not to pay to much attention to news unless you know who specifically is report it. Most reporting is done to evoke some sort of emotion. I'm sure if anyone looks hard enough they will find negativity about everything. Same if you look for positive effects.
Also it all depends to some extent which kind of vaccine.
I don't think any non medical person should be suggesting anything specific without a lot of research. As for calling anyone a donkey!
