Our Vehicle industry failed because WE allowed it, WE were reliant on the Government to fix it FOR US,
Everyone is talking Ford, Holden etc..... how about thinking of the suppliers to these... like the suppliers of windscreen wiper rubbers, batteries, radiators, upholstery, tyres, brake pads etc..... how many of these Companies either gave up, or simply went to overseas for business. . There is/was a guy manufacturing small electric delivery vans out of the old Holden sheds in SA..... is he still producing ?, is he getting support ?, probably not.
