GMPPA is Goodman guaranteed debt, a hybrid security listed on the ASX. It still pays a divi, even when Goodman doesnt.
GMPPA ranks ahead of ordinary equity, ie everyone on this site who owns or trades GMG ranks behind GMPPA.
Dexus has exactly the same product, called Dexus Rents.
Dexus Rents has a face value of $100( same as GMPPA), and currently trades around $70.Dexus has a a better credit rating than GMG.
When GMG raises capital in the next week or so, and dilutes the head stock investors, but in doing so ensures its survival and has its credit re rated GMPPA will kick.
Currently GMPPA divi is 1.9% margin over BBSY, so paying roughly $5 pa on a qtrly basis.
So if you are happy with a secure 7-8% income return , share price should easily hit $62-$71 after GMG raises capital.(currently yielding 10.8% at $46)
Everyone with a SMSF should hold GMPPA as part of a balanced portfolio!!!(IMO)
