Given that the Greater Sydney and surrounding areas lockdown is to continue until 16 July 2021, making three weeks in total, REX (and QAN plus probably FLT/.WEB/SYD) need to issue a trading update by Friday 9 July.

Ramifications for QAN mean at least 3000 cancelled flights (i.e. 1500 each way into and out of SYD, plus fewer passengers on connecting flights to and from other airports) while REX is also badly affected.

If you're brave enough to hold an airline at present, good luck, but the two main listed ones in Australia seem disastrous 'investments'. A one way ticket to administration!
