I would like to know....
a) How many of the 87% clearance were FHB?
and
b) How many FHB are buying the 600k properties?
FHB are about 20% of the buyers at present across the board......I would at a guess suggest that those buying at auction are much less than the 20%...perhaps 10% at best.
So who are the other 90% then?
I would "guess" FHB may account for around 10% only of buyers at auction.
if this is closer to the mark then really FHB dont have a lot to do with the high clearance rates at auction therefore the gentelement making comment in the atrticle may be incorrect in his assumption.
